NewCity article, plus new videos
posted in: Bump-it, press by Michael Una on April 29, 2009There’s an article in Chicago’s NewCity this week called Breakout Artists 2009: Chicago’s next generation of image makers. And who is one of these breakout artists? Moi. Does it matter that I’m not much of an image maker? Not in the slightest.
Head on over to their site to check out the story, or grab one from the box if you’re a Chicagoan.
Also- work on the sequencer/drum machine continues, as evidenced by this video (which also features a guest appearance by Roger the cat):

I was going to suggest to connect the clock to the disable pin, until I looked it up and discovered that the disable pin just disables the clock input, not the outputs. Damn. :p
Also, Roger is cute. :3
cool work!!!
i have the same problem on my sequencer design and i will like to understand what you did to solve it
check out my blog too…..
Hey, Really nice work on the drum sequencer. I’ve been working on a couple drum synths and i’m looking to build a basic sequencer to make beats. I have the 4017 sequencer working and triggering the sounds but I’m having the same gate issue you presented. You mentioned that you used 4 PNP transistors to gate the trigger. Can you explain a little further how they are connected to the circuit? Thanks, Keep up the great work.
