Beautiful Decay
New work created at Loyola from the past semester. All pieces are glazed stoneware. These are installed in my studio. I now need to find a place exhibit them. They can be installed easily with screws into any wall. They are the beginning of work I'll be exploring, which is purchasable installation art. The work can be bought and installed by the consumer, transferring some of the art experience to the consumer.
Beautiful Decay looks at the beautiful and transformative quality of death and decay and reminds us of the cycle of destruction and creation.

Your choice of how you installed the art in http://una-love.com/uploaded_images/shelf-web-705177.jpg is interesting. They look like steps. Or a wave.
Would you install these in a different pattern? Single-file horizontally? Or single-file vertically?
Part of the concept for this work is that it is installed differently for each place it is displayed. If purchased they could be arranged by the owner or by me. They could even be split up and displayed in clusters around the house or space. It is an installation that responds to the surroundings, much like fungi do.
