So Far So Good
So far the accutane is still working.

- The accutane made me more crazy then I appreciated while on it. Only from the perspective of sanity can I see ho bad it was.
- I still think of myself as having acne, but I am surprised when I look in the mirror.
- I've been doing pretty good at not picking, but not perfect.
- I've had the smallest white heads, about 3, and about 3 blackheads. But its hot here and I have a stressful job.
- I don't moisturize per the advise of my dermatologist who says people are over moisturizing. Moisturize when you are dry, thats it.
- I use a medicated cleanser I bought from the dermatologist.
- I use a great sunscreen I bougth from the dermatologist.

I have taken for 1 months.I am 27 years old.This is my second go round of Accutane. I started my first treatment about 7 years ago.My acne definitely started to come back last year, and I was prescribed topical creams and antibiotics. Of course, they did not work. I just started Accutane again 24 days ago. I can already see the difference! I wish that I was prescribed this 10 months ago after wasting money on useless dermatology prescriptions. I was already prepared for the tedious prework prior to taking the drug. The monthly doctor visits, blood tests, and process of getting prescriptions are a pain! females : Please take this drug seriously. Discuss all effects with your partner.My symptoms include DRY LIPS, PEELING SKIN, and minor muscle aches occasionally. My advice is to carry carmex, blistex, or medicated vaseline in your purse or pocket.(Trust me : The lipstick will not stay on). Lubriderm lotion is helping me out a lot! prevents lots of drying. I am very concerned about how long this drug remains in the bloodstream.
Side Effects :
Dry, chapped lips, skin peeling, dry skin, minor muscle aches.
